The Manipal-based TA Pai Management Institute (TAPMI) conducts the induction programme for the Integrated Programme in Management 2025–2030 batch in Manipal.

The Manipal-based TA Pai Management Institute (TAPMI), a constituent unit of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), hosted the induction programme for the Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) 2025–2030 batch on August 9.

Welcoming the batch, Rajeev Kumra, Director of TAPMI, highlighted the institute’s reputation for academic rigour, discipline, and holistic development through academics, projects, competitions, sports, and cultural activities.

Emphasising hostel life as a training ground for leadership, teamwork, and resilience, he assured parents of a safe and nurturing environment and urged them to give their children space to grow. He encouraged students to seize every opportunity, build friendships, embrace challenges, and develop skills beyond academics to shape their careers and personal growth.

Lt Gen MD Venkatesh, Vice Chancellor of MAHE, spoke of TAPMI’s advantage as part of India’s leading multidisciplinary university, offering a five-year journey from school graduates to management professionals. He stressed the value of a diverse learning environment, global exposure, and cultural immersion.

Advising students to balance independence with responsibility, he urged them to avoid distractions, commit to lifelong learning, and cultivate curiosity, adaptability, and a readiness to make a positive difference.

Arjun Viswanathan, Managing Director at VAST Data, who was the chief guest on the occasion, reflected on his early days in Manipal and the resilience those experiences built. He noted that while the world is intense, unpredictable, and sometimes unfair, it is also full of opportunity. He urged students to stay honest with themselves, prioritise mental health, read deeply, understand people, and balance reflection with vision.
