Samsung set to unveil 3 Galaxy A Series smartphones in India next week; here’s what you need to know

Samsung Galaxy A Series: Samsung is set to launch three new Galaxy A series smartphones in India next week. According to the company, these devices will be successors to Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55 models launched last year.

The new Galaxy A series smartphones are designed to meet the evolving needs of young consumers, said the company. The upcoming models are expected to feature a refreshed design, enhanced durability, and advanced security features, ensuring a seamless and secure user experience, it added. 

Galaxy A Series: What is it all about?

The Galaxy A series is Samsung’s most successful smartphone series in India so far, with millions of units sold annually.

Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55

The Galaxy A55 5G and Galaxy A35 5G come with several flagship features, including Gorilla Glass Victus+, AI-enhanced camera capabilities, Samsung Knox Vault for security, four OS upgrades, and five years of security updates. 

In terms of camera specifications, the Galaxy A55 5G boasts a 50MP main camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and a 12MP ultra-wide lens, while the Galaxy A35 5G features a 50MP main camera with OIS and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. Both models are equipped with a 5MP macro sensor. For selfies, the Galaxy A55 5G has a 32MP front camera, while the Galaxy A35 5G comes with a 13MP front camera.

Both devices are rated IP67, meaning they can withstand up to 30 minutes of immersion in up to 1 meter of fresh water. They are also built to resist dust and sand. Additionally, the Galaxy A55 5G and Galaxy A35 5G are designed to endure accidental slips and falls thanks to the Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection on both the front and back.

The Galaxy A35 5G is available in three shades: Awesome Lilac, Awesome Ice Blue, and Awesome Navy. Meanwhile, the Galaxy A55 5G comes in two colours: Awesome Ice Blue and Awesome Navy.
