With the Israel-Iran military conflict flaring up, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has said that Indian students in Tehran have been moved out of the city for safety reasons through arrangements made by the Indian embassy.
“Other residents who are self sufficient in terms of transport have also been advised to move out of the city in view of the developing situation. Separately, some Indians have been facilitated to leave Iran through the border with Armenia,” per a statement issued by the MEA on Tuesday.

The MEA had earlier said that Indian embassies all across the region, were in touch with Indian community members and also guiding them on their safety and security.
Escalation in hostilities between Iran and Israel over the last two days has triggered worries of a wider conflict in the region that could severely affect the safety of people and hit the global economy.
