Preparations have been in full swing at Zhengzhou International Airport since Saturday morning, as China readies the first batch of emergency humanitarian aid – part of a total package worth 50 million yuan (about $7 million) – for earthquake-hit Afghanistan.
The two cargo flights, carrying tents, blankets are scheduled to depart early Sunday morning and arrive in Kabul, Afghanistan’s capital, at 9 a.m. local time.
